I do not think that Rossi cares at all about the media reaction or counter-reaction. I see no reason why he should. He does not need the media. He does not need the public, either. He enjoys attention so he talks a lot and stays in the spotlight, but he does not actually need attention. He has not made any use of the attention he has garnered. He might as well have stayed in the shadows. As for the market, Rossi has all the support he needs. He could snap his fingers and get $10 million, or $100 million, or even $1 billion if he wanted to. Many serious people have offered him serious amounts of money. He has turned them all down. He will not relinquish control over the invention. Like many other inventors, I believe he would rather die and take the discovery with him to the grave than allow anyone else to have any say in how it is developed or used. The only thing standing between Rossi and global domination of the energy market is Rossi himself. > I'm sure even Mr. Rossi himself would agree with this assertion. I doubt he would agree. He thinks he has all the time in the world. I think that sooner or later the competition will catch up with him, and then surpass him. He should heed the words of Wilbur Wright, describing the people who tried to conquer the air but failed: "Those who failed for lack of time had already used more time than was necessary; those who failed for lack of money had already spent more money than was necessary; and those who were cut off by accident had previously enjoyed as many lucky escapes as reasonably could be expected." Rossi will eventually run out of money. His supporters have long since run out of patience. - Jed
