There is no sign that he knows anything about cold fusion. His
interest in "fusion" is clearly about hot fusion. He might be
interested, but there is a learning curve. Most people with a strong
interest in physics, as with him, will know enough to strongly
suspect cold fusion is impossible.
Unless the see a *lot* of evidence, and that takes time.
