You misunderstand. This is not an argument in support of global warming. It is an argument against conspiracy theories such as the theory that climatologists have been bought off by vested interests. I did not address any of the technical aspects of global warming in this post. My arguments apply equally well to many other conspiracy theories, such as the claim that the moon landings were faked, or that the World Trade Center towers were destroyed by explosives planted in the buildings on 9/11. I believe it would be impossible to organize such a conspiracy, or to keep it secret. - Jed
