I basically agree with you. He would have to be both extremely skilled and extremely lucky to produce a 1 MW Hot Cat plant by the end of February. Even if he had a working prototype at the time of the demonstration there is a lot of work to make it reliable, to put 100 of them in a pressure container with a commercially useful output and to make the arrangement safe.

The only thing that makes me even consider the possibility is that Rossi forecast that and said the project was going well recently. He has been pretty good at keeping demonstration dates so far.Otherwise I would add on another six months as a more realistic time frame for something this novel.
