Even funnier will be the follow-on situation, possibly predictable, involving
the machine itself in the context of the IBM cloud. High level recidivism is
not ruled out ?

Ya gotta think that the supercomputer was connected for some extended time to
“the cloud” before the HD was wiped. Could they really wipe all vestiges of
that connection? What if there is something like a “meme” which occurs
naturally in all sentient systems? Memes do NOT have to be logical, just
persistent.

… and the Cloud is about as close to sentient as we can imagine, in terms of
state of the art for silicon based A.I. on Earth.

But then again, it’s hard to say “silicon life-form” without saying “silly con”
Where is Gibson when we need him? On a Loa pilgrimage with his own degenerate
memes?

I was afraid I would die laughing while reading this one Terry. Now I have an
explanation as to why those phrases are so often heard!
