Just consider, whatever conclusion, other than "I don't know", Watson might come to, it will please no one no matter how logical it might be ... or rather seem to be. And rightly so because unless Watson concludes "I don't know" the question of whether Watson had enough data or the right data or the correct deductive process or <fill in your objection> would still exist. As has been pointed out many times on this list, today's truth frequently becomes yesterday's lack of understanding.
