I should point out that Krivit sent me another message saying:

"If you can remind me of some common examples of periods of *excess heat in
the range of Watts last for hours *I would like to correct my text thank
you."

That is somewhat rarer. I pointed to the F&P heat after death event which
was 100 W for several hours. I also pointed to Storms' histogram showing
that there are examples above 1 W. The examples in this graph all lasted
longer than a few minutes. They all amounting to heat energy beyond the
limits of chemistry, or he would not have listed them. A transient heat
effect lasting a few minutes does not count.
