That is true, but they make themselves look bad when they present frothy
advertisements at ICC17. It is embarrassing to watch. It is unprofessional.

If they do not want to demonstrate or publish a paper that is fine with me,
but they should not expect anyone to take them seriously. No calibration
curve, no credibility. Everyone must be held to rigorous academic standards.

People who visit them and blather on about vague impressions of "about 20
or 30 minutes" should be ashamed of themselves. That is NOT how a scientist
or an engineer reports an observation. Do your job, for goodness sake! If
you ask me, as a translator, what does "走査電子顕微鏡" (sousa denshi kembikyou)
mean, I do not give some half baked answer: "oh wow, it's something about a
microscope that runs around, and it's got electrons, dude . . ." That's a
scanning electron microscope.
