I was forwarding some vortex-l emails to a colleague of mine named Karl Bender
and noticed that in the column of sent mail other names were in there but I
very specifically used the fwd icon, not the reply to sender or the reply to
conversation icon so those messages should have been sent ONLY to him and not
other people on the list, but again when looking on the sent column it seemed
that maybe other individuals were receiving the mailing. I was complaining to
him about all the changes yahoo has made with their new mail system and how it
seems to be malfunctioning. Yahoo mail now apparently does not list replies to
a thread individually anymore and instead puts a number after the letter which
is supposed to contain all the replies.(I suppose they are doing this to save
space on their servers?) I get an enormous amount of spam mail, 200 to 300
mailings a day and I spend a lot of time deleting things. I think there is
several hundred thousand mailings
that havent yet been deleted, but I am trying and now have almost a year of
the last ten years deleted. You can only delete several hundred letters at a
time. This new yahoo policy of not listing every reply to a thread makes it
difficult for me to find a mailing from several days ago that I wish to forward
to him. On these thread replies I noticed that your (Terry Blanton) replies had
no message in them and to see your specific reply one had to press the show
message icon. There is no doubt in my mind that something is going wrong with
yahoo as yesterday I forwarded the North Korea(off topic) mailing to him but
when I checked the mailing the sent column I found that only 2 replies were on
that thread. I wanted to show him the humourus reply about the classified ad
but those replies were now missing from my mailings also. So I went to the
vortex archive and copied that reply and was surprised to find that the copy
also contained other replies underlined
in blue that are seem as replies on that archive record. I dont know what is
going on but perhaps when I forward the letter with that title found on the
vortex list yahoo is somehow including it in the total amount of list replies.
Perhaps yahoo has become infected with Obama's healthcare site malfunctions!
(Just a joke) In any case today yahoo says my mailing is bouncing and I couldnt
access my mailing, facebook or my yahoo group, and to post this letter I had to
google my yahoo group name  which was still broke and then access the mail icon
found there which took me here without a password request. Maybe it has
something to do with the hacker who hacked passwords from facebook.  In any
case I am shutting down and doing a malware scan to see if I am infected with a
virus or something. Perhaps  the spillover conversations you are seeing are due
to my forwarding vortex list messages to a non member? Maybe you should check
the date and time on your
computer, something like this happened before with another vortex member whose
messages didnt appear in past mailing records because he was working from a
different time period or something. I dont know what is going on, I'm pretty
much computer illiterate.

. . . that somehow you've missed something.  Recent discussions seem to have
begun elsewhere and spilled over to Vortex-l.  I feel as if I have stepped into
