In my model, the jet streams actually contain the missing "cosmic strings" of vacuum energy from inflation of the "universe" as those vacuum particles from the Sun's solar wind inflate and decay. The Sun's core and Earth's core are probably 6-D torroidal D Branes. These strings of vacuum create low pressure fronts (jet streams) which pull warm air from the South and Cold Air from the North. Depending upon which side of these energetic strings of vacuum are located you might get unseasonably warm weather or unseasonably cold weather. These strings ionize and condense the atmosphere through quantum decoherence along their proton sized surface and charge it up causing electromagnetic discharges to Earth (lightning). Think of our atmosphere as a capacitor for vacuum energy from our decaying quantum gravity field from the Sun. Our primary weather is really just vacuum discharges to the Earth, the precipitation we see is just condensing of gasses. The vacuum decays/pops out as protons combining with the ionized oxygen to form water vapor. Earth's magnetic poles have lots of these strings of vacuum energy going in and out of the Earth which is why it is so damn cold at the poles.
Our atmosphere has 3 components: Air, water vapor and decaying, energetic vacuum all curled up by the Sun . Best I can figure.
