The second page of this article discusses cold fusion. It includes the usual blather about how it was "mostly" not replicated, and how it is considered no better than alchemy. The article implies Iwamura is trying to distance himself from cold fusion, which is not true. Then it has a photo of Prof. Arima visiting the experiment in 2007. Arima is Japan's version of Robert Park. He denounced cold fusion when it was first reported, and he is the go-to source for the newspapers when they want a fresh attack. I hope Iwamura rubbed his nose in the results.
