I do not recall seeing reference to this earlier. Rossi stated in his Journal that he uses AC source power to control the ECAT. According to his words it would be inefficient to convert the source power into DC when the heating apparently is the main function of the current. This suggests that the magnetic field originating from the heating source may not be important. It does not imply anything about other sources of magnetic fields.
