It looks like the report won't be released to the public on the summer solstice, which would have been wonderfully symbolic.

Just ignore them. Nobody is kept in the dark, everybody is waiting patiently for the results of a huge, long, difficult work whose output will be important. The Professors are, obviously, aware of the importance of this work and are keeping all the necessary time to make the best possible work.
