It would be risky to try to compare specific counts of specific isotopes on
different grains, before and after.  For the ratio of the isotopes will
vary between different "before" samples and between different "after"
samples, chosen from different locations.  In addition, sputtering was used
to remove some adhesive, which will have had the effect of modifying the
results.  I think the most we can get from this particular set of isotope
analyses is an impressionistic view of what's going on, for which one wants
to avoid reading too much into specific numbers.
