Thanks Jones, very nice citations, not the OU discount of molecular bond
disassociation threshold I was suggesting but I think we both got the DCE
right! I am not sure about the Haisch-Moddel patent as prior art, their
"cavities" were .1u drilled holes and I don't believe they even mentioned
hydrogen in their patent as the original plan was noble gas and Lamb pinch.. I
recall correspondence with Professor Moddel wrt one of my blogs on their patent
where I had assumed they were using hydrogen and got my hand slapped for
misrepresenting their approach and scheme. I know they specify Lamb pinch and
am pretty sure their streaming gas was helium but I am not sure if this makes a
difference wrt the "quark soup" you mention.. I know their idea doesn't include
the smaller - more robust geometries that Rossi powders form where those tiny
hairs protrude from his micron scale grains of powder and do not recall any
success producing OU. They were certainly on the right path but IMHO they were
missing the asymmetry and SPP we are now discovering to be paramount for LENR
to occur [asymmetry], control and extract [linkage].

Subject: EXTERNAL: [Vo]:Patent application of interest

A recent patent application of interest in the context of the Rossi "dogbone"
reactor: "Method and equipment for quantum vacuum energy extraction" US

Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention comprise different methods and equipment
for efficiently and relatively inexpensively producing Casimir cavities for use
in quantum vacuum energy extraction.

As mentioned previously in the context of Rossi, there is a possibility that
providing a reactor of sintered alumina, which is both translucent and
nanoporous, will accentuate the production of SPP along the interface of high
current wires which have been incorporated into the structure. The high field
so the SPP then interact with protons trapped in the Cavities.

If so, and Charles Rosendorf is successful in having his applications granted
then it would have added value in the context of Rossi. However, U.S. Pat.
7,379,286 was issued May 27, 2008 to Haisch, et al. entitled "Quantum Vacuum
Energy Extraction" and would seem to negate that possibility.

There are a growing number of observers who believe that the SPP can interact
with protons in a Casimir cavity in such a way as to obtain energy from QCD.
This is because a treasure trove of new-old information has turned up from the
1980s on quark confinement in Casimir cavities. More on that later.

There are some interesting equations starting on page 6 here which define the
roll of ZPE and the strong force in the context of quarks. If required spectra
of the ZPF are suppressed in a cavity, then we may end up with "quark soup" in
place of a proton.

All of which implies that a "new energy source", the one which is involved in
some kinds of LENR is actually sub-nuclear, in the sense of quantum vacuum
interactions involving loose quarks of trapped protons in Casimir cavities. We
may need to change the name of LENR to LTQS (low temperature quark soup)...
