I finally installed votca! Another votca was loaded in my $LD_LIBRARY_PATH. This votca has been installed for a server where libboost 1.49.0 is used. By simply making $LD_LIBRARY_PATH empty, the votca for my new local machine was installed. Thank you very much for your time.
