I like that attitude! However in our small communities it is more
dificult to do that everyone knows who does things. I agree that it is
better to apologize than to go and ask permission and get a negative or
a huge bill. The cops job is to protect the people regardless their
salary is payed by us the people. What a bunch of ....
I would look very carefully at the city ordinance and find where is
estipulated that you have to pay for police fees or salaries. Just march
on the sidewalk and they can't charge you for that.
