Date: Monday 16 October 2017 (tonight!) Time: 7pm-9pm Special location: Davis Makerspace in downtown Davis (see below for details)
This month's LUGOD meeting is focused on the popular and low-cost Raspberry Pi computing platform. Join us to see live demonstrations of projects that local users have made with these small but powerful little computers, learn more about the Raspberry Pi hardware line, and maybe even get inspired to start your own Pi project. Project highlights include a musical keyboard training tool by Ted S., a roaming robot by Robbie A., an OpenSprinkler-based lawn care system by Mark K., and a MotionEye security camera and temperature monitoring system by Tim T. The meeting will be held in a special location this month: at the Davis Makerspace in downtown Davis. DMS is located in Tim Spencer Alley, behind Woodstock's Pizza (between F and G streets in the 2nd-3rd Street block.) Please plan for street parking or a public lot nearby, as there is no parking available in the alley. For directions on finding the space, where to park, and more, please visit: http://www.lugod.org/meeting/ and http://www.davismakerspace.org/about/location
