No just Doom it seems to work a lot better. I have not seen any programes to
test it either, but it is much more fun this way :^)

Are you using any special program to test the memory?
Way back when I remember various DOS programs to burn-in CPU's, test
RAM, HDDs, etc. I haven't seen any for Linux.
