it was really low turn out. i would guess maybe 4 people? 5 people?

rusty, what would you say?

on the bright side, we had some tough nuts to crack but all success stories,
including:

1- a system with a very bizarre intermittant(sp?) sound problem. jeff
newmiller, foo lim and i traced it to an IRQ conflict and solved it.

2- a system that had previous numerous failed linux installs (not by us).
interesting linux user - a 15 year old female high school student. she
wanted to install linux because her friends were picking on her about
still having windows. windows was crashing very 10 minutes on the
machine. mark kim and i determined one of her dim's were bad.

3- a system with a creative cdrom drive (one of those cdrom drives that
piggyback onto a soundcard. bleah. lugod is buying a cdrom drive to
bring to all future installfests. :) evan scarisbrick and i tried
getting the cdrom drive recognized with no success. i think evan put
another creative cdrom drive and sound card in this machine and it magically
   worked. strange.

i saw sam installing a system, and i think that went smoothly.

were there any more people? the LRP installe ditched us, but on the bright
side, jeff newmiller made a lert call to my home and helped set up an LRP
firewall. i will be writing a 15 dollar check to lugod. :) he saved me
at least 3 full days of work.

thanks again, jeff!
