alias ls = ls -a -color
It doesn't work. I've tried different variations of this and they don't work. I've got RedHat 6.1, and I've discovered that to temporarily get ls to work in color I have to put two dashes in front of "color"; like this: ls --color. But this doesn't work in .bashrc if I use it in the way suggested by Linux Magazine. So can one of you please tell me the right way to do it?
Thank you.
