SuSE 2.0? 2.1? Makes no sense to me... SuSE 2.0/2.1 are ancient (I don't
even know if they exist) and Linux kernel 2.0 was an old stable version
that I can't imagine upgrading to the unstable 2.1 Linux kernel.
But assuming you were actually upgrading _a_ kernel to some other kernel,
there are some generic suggestions...

Most likely you made changes and forgot to run /sbin/lilo before
rebooting. You can use the SuSE cd or boot diskette, or tomsrtbt, to get
to a Linux prompt from which you can run lilo to fix the problem.
