[vox-tech] latex font question

i know i should know this...

how do i typeset an "L" using the eusb font?   i want a whole document in the
standard latex font, but just want a single letter L in the eusb font.

i know how to do this with tex, but have no idea how to do this the "latex"
way, using NFSS.

does anyone here know this kind of stuff?
