When someone sends a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED], or [EMAIL PROTECTED], then the list experiences a little identity problem and sends messages with headers To: "vox-tech" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and my Pine asks me if I want to send to all recipients when I reply. If I am not paying attention and respond with "y" then both addresses get stuffed in. If I again fail to pay attention and don't delete the cc, then I end up sending the duplicate. If they send to [EMAIL PROTECTED], I don't have this problem. The headers then look like: To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I try to deal with it, but sometimes I miss. If it gets to be enough of a problem, someone will kick me off or fix the list. Since the specifics of email _handling_ (as opposed to _generation_ :) ) is definitely one of my weak points, I tend to refrain from backseat administering. In this case, it looks as simple as fixing the "reply-to" in the list configuration... but I don't know. Maybe then the people with franz in their address books will cause the problem. On the other hand, since I only occasionally see others fall into the same trap, I wonder how their MUAs are configured... or perhaps most people just reply to messages sent to franz and ignore the ones sent to lugod. :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Newmiller The ..... .....
