had to forward this since we were just talking about it.  since i have a
voodoo III on rhonda's machine (X4), the answer applies to me (and everyone
else here who has a voodoo III).

i'll post the answer if/when it comes.

btw, why would you want to do this?  because using glide2 natively is
*faster* than DRI/glide3 on a voodoo3 for 3D graphics (so sayeth loki
software).

don, did you ever get that banshee to work?  the details of your setup are
beginning to fade.
