hi, all,

I meet a problem with sendmail.

For example, I connect to my mail server from a machine at UCD:

sandman 3% telnet skynet.das.ucdavis.edu 25
Trying...
Connected to skynet.das.ucdavis.edu.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 www.mtc.dhs.org ESMTP Qmail ready at Tue, 27 Nov 2001 22:33:54 -0800
mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 2.1.0 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sender ok
rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
550 5.7.1 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Relaying denied
rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 2.1.5 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Recipient ok

The problem here is that the client machine's domain is ucdavis.edu,
not yahoo.com. The first 'Relaying denied' is what I expect. However,
the second 'Recipient ok' is unexpected since it means the client
machines can be anybody. What I want to do is to ensure that the
client machines cannot use fake domain. Do you know any method to do
it in sendmail? Thanks a lot!

Jimmy
