Thank your very much for this. The install seemed to work beautifully - stopped and restarted Apache and Apache SSL, made some changes to httpd.conf etc. Only, it doesn't appear that php is running on my server - and I cannot locate a PHP file to execute. I tried restarting my machine, but with no perceptible effect.
Regarding other packages like PHP - I have been using a product called HTML/OS from Aestiva. This is like PHP but includes a built in database. I found it very easy to use (except integrating it with Dreamweaver when doing HTML). The big problem is, it is very expensive and it is tied to a single domain. Regards Martyn R.
