hi all,
it's been over 2 years since i've used redhat, and i'm totally
unfamiliar with GNOME. my first reaction is to play with minicom, but
that's not the "redhat way". i don't even know what an "internet
connection wizard is".
ron is a dear friend of mine -- if anyone can help him out, i would be
very grateful.
since he's not on the list, can you cc him (as well as the list, since
i'm interested in knowing gnomish/redhatish things for our
installfests).

I know it's because I'm not yet 'tuned'; but
I'm a bit perplexed about this. I attached an
external US Robotics V.90 modem, and when
I booted Linux it got noticed - and a 'hardware
configurator' popped up and asked me if I wanted
to configure the device. I selected 'configure'. It
went off, queried the modem, and the boot con-
tinued normally. But when I ran the 'Internet Con-
nection Wizard' in Gnome, it doesn't find a modem.
There is a /dev/modem1.
What's up with that?
