I seem to recall reading on alt.os.linux.mandrake that supermount is purely a mandrake thing - you can get the mandrake kernel sources from their ftp site in the kernel-source package.
I also did a search on google groups for "supermount vanilla" and found a patch for vanilla kernels available at http://www.geocities.com/alexismikhailov/supermount.html (so maybe it's not purely a mandrake thing, but it does need a patch) What use did you find for supermount? > ---ORIGINAL MESSAGE--- > Date: Wed, 3 Jul 2002 19:35:52 -0700 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > From: Peter Jay Salzman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [vox-tech] supermount > Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > i finally found a use for supermount. > > is supermount in 2.4.* series? or does a patch need to be applied? > couldn't find it in .config. > > looks like all that's needed (aside from a kernel module) is a > "supermount" option in fstab. i gathered that from a websearch, but > couldn't find much else. > > pete _______________________________________________ vox-tech mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.lugod.org/mailman/listinfo/vox-tech
