Two DSL lines to the same service address very likely share space in the same conduit all the way to the central office. A fault anywhere between you and the central office switch will likely take both lines offline (mister backhoe). It'd be a shame to spend more for redundant service if you don't get added reliability. It's hard to get diverse routing. I remember in the late 80s, working for U.S. Worst. <wavy lines> One day the Internet connection tanked. Turns out we bought our 2nd connect from Sprint. Who resold lines they bought in bulk from AT&T. Who leased those lines from: U.S. West. Doh! The timing of the resulting downtime was so bad that the users were trying to decide whether to commit murder or suicide. Maybe you can hang an antenna from a weather balloon, or use RFC2549 carrier service. Good luck. _______________________________________________ vox-tech mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.lugod.org/mailman/listinfo/vox-tech
