ken, that's pretty cool.
i didn't know that udev was ready for prime time. i think i'll still wait a bit before playing around with it. i spent way too much time with devfs only to learn a year later that it was being deprecated...
They're still working out the bugs in udev in debian unstable. You should probably wait a while.
ken, why do you use -J and -l together? isn't joliet capable of handling longer filenames than 31 characters?
I think I did it just in case I run across some reader that doesn't read the joliet extensions. But since I'm not likely to do that with my backups, I don't know why I did it. Just 'cause...
