Actually, what I tend to do is leave some completely unallocated space on
each physical hard drive.  That way, if I later decide that I goofed on 
filesystem sizes, or need some more swap, or otherwise need to reshuffle 
disk contents, doing so is less messy because I have some space to work
with.
