I used to have to remove the ehci_hcd module in order to get any usb drives (flash, ipod) to show up and then I could mount them and use them with no problems. now When I plug in a flash drive things work fine but when I plug in my ipods (ver 4g and 5.5g) they show up in /var/log/messages It will sit there for a few seconds and then disconnect, reconnect and repeat. If I unload ehci_hcd now it will load, mount and stay stable but I can't read or write to the drive. It gives I/O errors. Following is and excerpt from /var/log/messages. BTW this is happening when I have the ipods booted into Rockbox or IPod.
