The California Chapter of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation is planning a meeting for October. This is a great chance for any of you who have been dabbling in or wondering about Open Source GIS related software, libraries and open data initiatives (ex OpenStreetMap). It's an opportunity to meet other local people who share similar interests and spend a day kick-starting your dive into Open Source with some talks, demos, and hands on tinkering time.
To organize the meeting topics and location a survey has been created. Please take 5 minutes to fill it out if you're interested in attending. This meeting will be in Northern/Central California this time, and Davis is one of the 3 possibilities. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HBLF525 Let me know if there are any questions and please feel free to forward this email to other interested parties.
