Strangely enough, when I printed to a pdf file and then printed that file it gave me three 45 second timeout messages as above, but then eventually printed. But when I then tried to print the same page directly it actually did print after a two-minute delay, without any timeout messages! So my problem is not always reproducible. Printing worked fine in 10.10. I will experiment with different web pages to see if the issue might be page dependent.
