dear all,
a bunch of us, over a year ago, went in on a deal with emusic.com where if
you buy $50 worth of mp3's, they gave you a ravemp portable mp3 player.
foo, i think you were one of us? anyway, at the time, there was no linux
support, of course. after i got rid of windows completely, i stopped using
it.
fast forward about 1.5 years.
just did a web search again. lo and behold, there is now a utility to use
the ravemp (along with the rio and mpman. i believe the rio actually has
kernel support).
it's very easy to compile, and works right out of the box. it even accesses
some functions that the windows driver doesn't! very cool!
