Pascal was copied on the post and has already responded with detailed
electrical schematics and some other pertinent information. I have
passed this on to my local associate and hope to get some effort toward
a fix this week. I'll keep the list informed.

Thanks Edwin for this update. Please let us know about any progress on
this.
Did you tell Pascal Dornier (ALIX programmer) about these news?
Best regards:
Pablo

All,
An update on high power cards in ALIX after the ECN capacitor addition.
It seems that even with the capacitor added, the ALIX board will
shutdown with an XR2 *and* an XR5 installed. With two XR5s, it will
run but if you touch both RF shields with your fingers, it will shut
down. One high powered card and anything else (I have CM90s, NL2511,
EMP8602, SR5, CM82) all seem to work fine.
Not sure what the next step is but I have a local associate with the
equipment and expertise to investigate this a little more and perhaps
come up with a further mod to make this excellent board handle the
latest and greatest radios currently available.
Edwin
