You need to edit /etc/network/interfaces to setup ath0 using wifi0.
There are loads of example there. /README will give you some more hints.

Hi!
I am unable to get my wireless card running. It's a card based on an atheros
chipset.
Output of lspci:
00:01.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] Unknown device 2080 (rev
31)
00:01.1 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] Geode LX
Video
00:01.2 Entertainment encryption device: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] Geode
LX AES Security Block
00:0d.0 Ethernet controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6105M [Rhine-III] (rev
96)
00:0e.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg
NIC (rev 01)
00:0f.0 ISA bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] CS5536 [Geode companion]

00:0f.3 Multimedia audio controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] CS5536
[Geode companion] Audio (rev 01)
00:0f.4 USB Controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] CS5536 [Geode
companion] OHC (rev 02)
So the card is found!
But when I do a iwconfig:
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
wifi0 no wireless extensions.
I tried so many things but nothing worked... Any suggestions?
