Hans

That's just the problem. My webcam is not supported by the kernel.
Which application are you using to capture the cam?

Hello,

at least it was easy.
you have to download the kernel sources
unpack it,
make menuconfig (dont forget libncurses5-dev),
select the right kernel modul for your webcam in my case the Philips Webcam driver,
make modules,
make modules_install,
modprobe pwc

Hi Hans

Good Question :-)

Have a look at http://mxhaard.free.fr/ if your webcam is supported there. I was able to use my labtec webcam in opensuse 10.3 but not in debian4.0 on wrap. I had no more time to go on on an debian 4.0 pc installation not on wrap...
On debian the grabing with spcaview seems to mess up some stuff :-(

Please let me know if you are able to get it to work or we can do something together.

BTW: I have no problem to write in german :-)

Greetings

Beat
