Hi,
These days I test more on live-cd than tar.bz2 distro. It always
works. Honestly, I don't know why you need /live partition being mount
. Let me know you VMWare version as well. I tested on VMWare Server 1.0.x.
FYI. Please read /README.live-cd and /README.pxe for installation
instructions.
