Though you specify you are searching for a board for your soundcard, I want to suggest the Yellowtec PUC <www.yellowtec.com/PUC.html> and/or PUC2 <http://www.yellowtec.com/PUC2-page-153.html>. These are professional USB audio "cards". As it is USB there is no special need on the SBC other than a USB port. At my workplace we use these for recording weather forecast items which are broadcasted by radio stations.
