Hi List, I've googleized on this subject quite a bit recently, and found that the post below seems to be the most useful.

Good job for finding a solution, but shouldn't we be able to access the GP I/O pins on an ALIX 1.D board via the Winbond W83627HF driver? There must be an easier way than requiring an application to elevate it's I/O permissions and make calls that are ordinarily reserved for the kernel. Hmm. Dom
