Howdy all, I've compiled a few kernels for Voyage-MPD 0.7.5 the past week and there persists an issue with the sound kernel modules. In the new kernel some modules are missing, such as: snd_seq, snd_rawmidi, a.o. They are not started at boot and when I try to start them manually it says the module is not found. I guess this is the reason why my sound is not working altogether running the new kernel. This corresponds with the kernel configuration file where indeed the corresponding lines are commented out: # CONFIG_SND_SEQUENCER, # CONFIG_SND_RAWMIDI_SEQ, a.o.
The interesting thing is, I thought the file config-2.6.38-voyage corresponded to the configuration of the precompiled kernel supplied with the Voyage-MPD package. However, running the original kernel, the mentioned modules are present and added to the kernel. Also sound is working fine. However, compiling a new kernel using an unchanged copy of config-2.6.38-voyage (or config-2.6.38-voyage_9.0-1 from the voyage.hk/download website) the modules are not present. This leads me to believe that the config file does not entirely correspond the configuration of the precompiled kernel supplied with the Voyage-MPD package. Assuming my reasoning is correct, my question is: where can I find the kernel configuration file that does correspond to the configuration of the precompiled kernel of Voyage-MPD (or a list of the differences)?
