What is the configuration of ifplugd and in /etc/init.d/network?
Doesn't "allow-hotplug eth0" solve the problem?
allow-hotplug eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

Maybe there are better ways managing dhclient in a more dynamic

search, ifplugd never let me down (yet).
