Hi Let me tell you about my recent experience... I am going on an Art & Design course at college in September and I NEED to use a graphics tablet, I immediately thought of my miggy - how could I use a top pressure sensitive Wacom Intuos on my amiga? I search the internet and find a piece of software called Tableau Pro that H&G sell. Problem is that it appears to only be sold in Germany. OK thats not a problem I'll just contact Blittersoft (H&G UK distributor) and ask them to get hold of it for me (I will NEVER order anything abroad, why should I? I don't have a credit card anyway ;) After 2 e-mails they reply and say yes, they can get hold of it, it will cost me 68 quid including postage. OK I thought, if I had a PC I could get driver software for free with the GT but being a loyal amiga owner I pledge the 68 quid and ask Blittersoft to get it for me. Six weeks later I have not received it, I e-mail Blittersoft but they don't reply (I suspect they only work on their amiga business 1 or 2 days a week.) So I am forced to write them a snail-mail and tell them the order is off. At this stage of the game amiga suppliers need to give better service than PC suppliers at the very least to stop people leaving the amiga! The state of amiga software is a joke, essential software that PC owners take for granted and often get for free doesn't exist and we have to rely on individual users and hobbyist programmers to supply us. Yeah, new Amiga hardware is plentiful but without software what is the point? This is what happens when I try to support amiga software! Looks like I'll have to use the GT on a PC... I am getting a PC in the next week or so. I will still use my miggy though, mainly for the internet, I like the feel of Voyager, it's a lot cleaner and faster than PC browsers and V3 should catch up a lot of lost ground. Besides I NEED to play Quake on the net with a greater screen size than a postage stamp! I'm sick of getting my ass kicked in Amiga Quake! :) People can flame me if they want, I don't mind, I have less interest in the amiga than what I had before. Alex PS This is my last off-topic on this list, sorry Ollie, I felt compelled answer the recent messages. ____________________________________________________________ Voyager Mailing List - Info & Archive: http://www.vapor.com/ For Listserver Help: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "HELP" To Unsubscribe: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "UNSUBSCRIBE"
