Hi Gang, I come back here with my two cents partly off-topic question..
I'm wondering if there is a way to improve voyager's (and in fact Ibrowse,
Aweb...) download capacities using a third party program (ala Gozilla, Getright,
NetVampire, Reget... and so). The idea would be to be able to communicate
the url we want to download to a specialized (stand-alone ) program, able
for example to schedule download (so that it downloads that HUUUGE (list of)
files when it's cheaper or when your're out), retry these when sites, routers
and so are down, manage the http 1.1 range effectively...

The trouble is there's no way (arex'd ve been nice:) to get the list of files
to download from voyager for example... The problem too is it has
to be made for every browser using specific rex/plugin api for every browser...

Hence the idea, to use the HTTP proxy facility to retrieve the downloads
tentatives and be able to manage a list of attempted downloads or so...
Didn't test anything to know if it's possible, just checked if it existed
on aminet (didn't find anything :( ). What do you thing ? Is that stupid ?
Possible ? Under construction ?

Regards

Phil
