Can you not do this from the RMB menu, above fastlinks (ie. the tearoff
menu)?

Apart from two Flash related crashes with (afair) the 0.8 Flash module, V 3
lasted the entire WOA show in London on my machine, we were really happy
about that.
Where does it normally crash for you and do you run AGA or a GFX card?

It was, Olli disabled this, I think. I think there were some reasons behind
it - I don't think it would be too hard to add again in the future. It was
AHI compatible.
As for the other stuff, it's upto Olli and David Gerber to answer those...
