But does anyone actually know what happened to the aminet.org domain registration, though? That's what's clearly caused all the confusion. In AmFTP, the majority of my aminet sites were set up as sub-domains of aminet.org, one for each country, the same for the aminet find sites. Suddenly, though, a week or so ago, they all stopped working, as if someone had stopped paying their rent :-) Obviously those addresses are only aliases for the real hostnames, but they were very convenient aliases! OK, so it looks like the .net addresses work then, but as far as I'm aware, .net addresses aren't supposed to be for this kind of thing - .org seems much more appropriate. And in any event, they were already configured in AmFTP.... Weird to suddenly discontinue the name....
