Well sorry for being that unclear. It's not a MOTD requester. MOTD requester
works very nice here. It's (haaargh hard to describe from here, far from my
miggy...) anyway:
The about of VNG (2.x) displays a three-framed display, that brings
you to the docs. I think the upper frame and the lower frames are local,
but the middle (about 30 pixel high) frame is pointing to somewhere on
a vapor site (I should have the url, in fact anybody's got it except me
who's at work :). In this frame there's a message on a blank page saying
'V3 second prerelease is available', and that's a link to v3.vapor.com iirc.
It's not cached, If I'm not online I can't see this page (have a 404) and what's
more I use the ram disk as a cache drawer... It's been updated when v3pre1 was
available, v3 pre2 was available and no more since v3pre2... It's a minor
hassle anywaym, but I still often use vng, and liked it to inform me that way
about news on v3..
