No it does not.

Ignoring your obvious sarcasm which at times shows your ignorance.

Following the last instruction in the installation script, it even
says to do a flush avail.

If you have no other programs...read vapor programs, running at that
point
avail flush should flush ALL unused libraries.
( so even if you just used the last version of voyager, and the
library was still in memory, it should be flushed.

So when you run voyager and it finds the library missing it will load
it (in this case the new one  )   in.

Sorry Chris...this is not Windoze.  aka make a change and reboot.

Common sense dictates you use the system devices, in this case avail
flush to purge the old library.  Common sense also dictates following
the installation messages.

Sorry to go on about this, but despite his good work Chris has a nasty
habit of trying to put people down with incorrect and small minded  
'digs'   when they query problems and report bugs. For some reason he
takes it as a personal affront

Grow up man !!!
